In this Coffee @ 10 presentation, Michigan artist Linda Klenczar will share insights into her pastel painting process En Plein Air. Linda will showcase her pastel painting setup and discuss how she dresses to protect herself during Michigan's hot and humid summers and colder temperatures of winter.
Linda's work is currently on display in the two-person exhibition, Michigan Meditations, along with artist Sharon Wade. Linda is based in Saline, Michigan, but spends time in Northern Michigan each year. She has exhibited her emotive yet peaceful pastels with CTAC-Petoskey and CTAC-Traverse City for several years.
Immediately following this Coffee @ 10 lecture, CTAC Visual Arts Director Liz Erlewine will be providing an exhibition walkthrough of Michigan Meditations for the in-person audience. Hear about what goes into selecting artwork, artists, and exhibitions for Crooked Tree Arts Center's gallery spaces, as well as background and contextual information for appreciating the work.
As always, complimentary pastries and coffee are provided with support from Roast and Toast for our in-person audience.
This event is in-person and online via Zoom and Facebook.
