    Description

CTAC is offering a Plein Air Master Class with Heidi Marshall, IAPS.MC, at beautiful Lavender Hill Farm in the heart of northern Michigan’s Hemingway Country. An evening dinner orientation and get-acquainted session will be followed by two days of plein air experience with master demonstrations, individual coaching and plenty of time to express and develop your plein air skills.

Skill Level: Participants are expected to have a basic-to-intermediate mastery of their medium and experience in painting en plein air.

Students bring all of their own supplies and materials.

Lavender Hill Farm is one of the most beautiful painting destinations in northern Michigan. In fact, it is the largest lavender farm in Michigan with over 30 varieties of lavender in varying waves of violet, red violet, lavender and green. The visual expanse, beautiful scents, rolling pastoral scenes (complete with the hum of Italian honey bees) makes Lavender Hill Farm an irresistible attraction for plein air painters.
I am honored to teach this Master Painting class at a stunning location that rivals the lavender hills of Provence, France. It is called a Master Class—but that doesn’t mean you have to be a master painter to take it. Participants are expected to have basic-to-intermediate mastery of their chosen medium, and have experience with outdoor painting. It is a painting class that aims to reach the needs of the individual student and involves serious group and individual instruction.

    Student Withdrawal
Requests for cancellation by the student at least seven (7) days prior to the first day of class will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee).  NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than seven (7) days in advance of the first day of the class.

    Class Cancellations (Weather)
When Public Schools of Petoskey are closed due to inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey classes are canceled. We will do our best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. School of Ballet students are asked to make up the missed class in an alternate session approved by their instructor.

We are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for classes missed due to student absence.

    Minimum Enrollment
Crooked Tree Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet its minimum student enrollment prior to the first class session. If a class is cancelled by CTAC for lack of enrollment, CTAC will offer a full refund to the student in the manner in which tuition was paid. (Cash payments will be refunded by check.)
