I am a retired teacher who minored in art in college.  I have always been "artsy" and love learning new things.  I started using natural Indigo dye 5 years ago and am self-taught in the Shibori method (books, videos, You Tube).  This past year I grew my own Indigo- going from seed to plant to fermentation to powder!  My husband and I spent 4 months this past winter in Guatemala along the shores of beautiful Lake Atitlan. During this time I learned natural dyeing techniques from the Mayan women that will enhance my dyeing.
