Description

Create festive, giftable hanging ornaments with special, ornate origami papers! Choose from a wide assortment of papers found from special sources to fit your own holiday decor. Also makes a great gift! Artist Margaret Weeks will guide you in making a box-in-a-box-in-a-box (which you can take as far as you want to go!), traditional crane, winter stars, and more.

  • All materials are included, including beads and jewelry wire to hang your ornaments.
  • Limit 5 ornaments per person.
  • All ages welcome - children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Date: Saturday, December 7th, 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Margaret Weeks

Instructor

Margaret Weeks is a lifelong teaching artist seeking to share her passion for the visual arts with students of all ages. She has taught in a wide variety of venues including the public schools in Charlotte, North Carolina, Interlochen Center for the Arts Summer Arts Camp, Blackbird Arts, and Glen Arbor Art Center.

Since earning her Master of Arts Education degree at Winthrop University, South Carolina, in 2008, Margaret has been drawn to watercolor painting. The reflective quality of the medium, and her spontaneous approach combine to capture her visions of nature. Her paintings celebrate the changing colors, light, and seasons of the natural world.

Cancellation & Class Policies

Cancellation Policy for Traverse City Classes (In-Person)

Student Withdrawal
Requests for cancellation by the student at least seven (7) days prior to the first day of class will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee).  NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than seven (7) days in advance of the first day of the class.

Class Cancellations (Weather)
In the event of inclement weather, CTAC-TC will announce the cancellation on its website and phone system (231-941-9488). We will do our best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. Refunds will not be given if the student is unable to attend the rescheduled session of class. Please note that CTAC-TC does not follow Traverse City Area Public School closings.

Student Absence
We are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for classes missed due to student absence.

Minimum Enrollment
Crooked Tree Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet its minimum student enrollment prior to the first class session. If a class is cancelled by CTAC for lack of enrollment, CTAC will offer a full refund to the student in the manner in which tuition was paid. (Cash payments will be refunded by check.)
