Animals are an essential part of both our natural and personal worlds. How we relate to them both as an individual and an artist can provide meaningful inspiration.
This workshop, led by Master Oil Painter, Elizabeth Polie, will invite students to explore the idea of animals as their primary subject matter.
As we dive into the learning experience, we will look at examples of the many approaches to portraying animals. Additionally, drawing and painting techniques will be included to further strengthen the skills, which are useful in representational painting.
I look forward to teaching each individual, through conversation, example, demonstrations and hands-on learning. This 4-day workshop will walk each participant through the process of creating one painting from a beginning concept to the finishing touches.
A choice of reference will be offered.
Skill Level: Please note, as a foundation for this class you will need intermediate to advanced drawing skills as well as some experience with oil paint.
A supply list will be sent to registered students at a later date by the instructor.
10 am to 5 pm with an hour break for lunch (not provided).
