    Cancellation & Class Policies

Waiver of Liability for Classes, Workshops, and Programs

The Student or Parent/Guardian understands that Crooked Tree Arts Center (Arts Center) offers instructional classes, workshops, and programs (Programs), which the Student wants to participate in, and that participation in these Programs can result in personal injury or illness. The Student or Parent/Guardian agrees that the Arts Center is not responsible for any personal injury or illness sustained by the Student in the Art Center Programs or as a result of the Student’s participation in the Art Center Programs or on the building premises or the premises being used by the Arts Center Programs (Participation).

The Student or Parent/Guardian agrees not to hold the Arts Center, any of its officers, directors, executives, administrators, agents, employees, faculty, or guest teachers (Released Parties), liable for any Student injuries or illness occurring while a student of the Arts Center, or as a consequence of Participation. The Student or Parent/Guardian understands that by signing this Liability Waiver, the Student or Parent/Guardian agrees the Liability Waiver is intended to serve as a release and waiver of, giving up, any and all claims the Student or Parent/Guardian may have against the Art Center and Released Parties for any Student injuries or illness. Any injuries or illness shall be promptly reported in writing to the Arts Center Programs Administrator.

The Arts Center is not responsible for the loss or theft of any personal property as a consequence of Participation. Any valuables should be left at home.

Student (if 18 years of age or older) or Parent/Guardian of Student (if student is less than 18 years of age) has read, understands, and agrees to this Liability Waiver.

Cancellation Policy for Petoskey Classes (In-Person)

    Student Withdrawal
Requests for cancellation by the student at least seven (7) days prior to the first day of class will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee).  NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than seven (7) days in advance of the first day of the class.

    Class Cancellations (Weather)
When Public Schools of Petoskey are closed due to inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey classes are canceled. We will do our best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. Refunds will not be given if the student is unable to attend the rescheduled session of class. Workshops and one-time classes will be handled on a per-class basis. School of Ballet students are asked to make up the missed class in an alternate session approved by their instructor.

    Student Absence
We are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for classes missed due to student absence.

    Minimum Enrollment
Crooked Tree Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet its minimum student enrollment prior to the first class session. If a class is cancelled by CTAC for lack of enrollment, CTAC will offer a full refund to the student in the manner in which tuition was paid. (Cash payments will be refunded by check.)
