    Description

Join local artist and studio facilitator Royce Deans for a fascinating observational discourse on a couple of history’s most influential artists and art eras. This talk will feature a look at the work of Henri Matisse and its influence on San Francisco Bay Area artist, Richard Diebenkorn. What were their crucial turning points that made them great? See how the more abstract work of Diebenkorn was inspired by the colors, textures, and compositions of Matisse. Curated for art enthusiasts and history buffs, for both artists and non-artists, anyone who appreciates art or would like to learn to appreciate it a little more will enjoy this lecture that dissects art down to its roots.
