    Description

Discover the intersection of landwork and creative self-expression in NW Lower Michigan. Join us for a discussion moderated by the Crosshatch Center for Art and Ecology, where land stewards and farmers delve into the relationship between agriculture and culture. Our panel will illuminate how their creative practices intertwine with their work on the land, offering insights into how these two practices compliment each other. Don't miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the synergy between creativity and stewardship in our local landscape.

This panel will be moderated by Crosshatch Program Specialists Daniel Marbury and Katrina Daniels along with land steward and designer, Megan Gilger, and poet and chestnut farmer Ellen Welcker. Founded in 2005, Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology builds strong communities through the intersections of art, farming, ecology and economy. Crosshatch envisions communities that are grounded in place: where people connect through stories, music, art, shared work, and food, and where the economy and culture are rooted in restoration of the earth and its people.
