The juried exhibition, GREAT: Reflections on the Great Lakes, is currently on display in CTAC-Petoskey's Gilbert Gallery. 48 works from 175 artists are included in the exhibition. ABOUT THE JUROR
Susan Moran is a textile artist whose works incorporate shibori, silkscreen, and stitching to create work inspired by the natural world and common human experiences. She has been a faculty member of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit since 1986. Commissions include textiles for the University of Michigan Medical School and the University of Michigan Cardiovascular Center, United Technologies Automotive, and the Michigan Horticultural Society. She received a travel grant from the National Surface Design Association to research Renaissance Italian silks and velvets. Her work has been profiled in Fiberarts Magazine. She exhibits, lectures and conducts workshops widely in Michigan and the US.
