    Description

    Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, Michigan, is now accepting submissions for the exhibition Fields of Vision: Juried Fine Art Exhibition.

    Michigan artists are invited to submit original works of art for the juried exhibition: Fields of Vision: Juried Fine Art Exhibition. Entries are open to all mediums and subject matter. Works should not exceed 42 inches in any dimension or weigh more than 50 pounds. 

    This opportunity is open to Michigan artists.

    $1000 in prizes will be awarded.


    Applicant Calendar

    • The exhibition will be on display in CTAC-Petoskey’s Gilbert Gallery January 13 to February 24, 2024
    • Submit entries online: October 7 - November 25, 2023.
    • Notification will be sent by Friday, December 2, 2023.
    • The artist is responsible for transporting work to and from Crooked Tree Arts Center (Petoskey), either through shipping or in-person drop-off and pick-up.
    • Work must be delivered to Crooked Tree Arts Center (Petoskey) by January 6, 2024, during posted CTAC gallery hours. Note holiday hours.
    • If shipping artwork, the artwork must arrive with a return shipping label.
    • Unsold artwork must be picked up during gallery hours on February 26 - March 1, 2024, or by appointment.
    • Works delivered with return shipping arrangements will be sent by February 28, 2024. 
    Eligibility

    This opportunity is open to Michigan residents. Works must be original works of art. Works of all mediums are eligible.

    Juror(s)

    Selections will be made by guest juror Nicole Webb, collections manager and curator of content for the Art Gallery at Grand Valley State University. 


    Grand Valley State University (GVSU) holds the second-largest art collection in the state of Michigan. Artwork is thoughtfully incorporated into every university building, creating a virtually borderless museum that spans all of our beautiful campuses.

    Nicole Webb serves as curator of content and collection manager for more than 15,000 works of art part of the GVSU Collection that is on display in every GVSU building and stored within art gallery storage. 

    Nicole is a Grand Valley State University Alumna, graduating in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in both art history and anthropology. She then completed her master's degree in Historical Administration at Eastern Illinois State University in Charleston, Illinois. Nicole then made a cross-country trip to work as the Curator of Collections at the Historical Museum at Fort Missoula in Missoula, Montana where she managed the exhibits and a permanent collection of over 40,000 artifacts. After enjoying the mountains for over 7 years- she and her family packed up and came back home to the beautiful Great Lakes of Michigan to re-join the GVSU Art Gallery staff as Collections Manager in 2018.
