Special Needs Artistic Movement
SNAM began in the spring of 2023 as Pre-professional dancer Claire Winnell's Eagle Scout project. This class provides the special needs community a chance to expand their artistry and movement creativity while giving the example that the arts are for everyone. This dance and movement class is designed for teens and adults. Attendees will participate in an hour-and-a-half class that includes basic to intermediate dance education. Games and fun combinations will be taught to keep the class active and exciting. You never know your full potential until you test it, so come and find yours.
This session prepares students for the annual “Arts are for Everyone” showcase during the Winter/Spring session.
Classes take place Mondays and Fridays 12:30-2:00 PM.
There are no classes November 25th-29th for Thanksgiving break. Only pre authorized visitors can come in to view the classes. Athletic clothing is strongly recommended instead of jeans.
