Professional artist Erwin P. Lewandowski maintains a studio/residence along the shoreline of Lake Huron in Northern Michigan. He is a graduate of the Fine Arts Department at Central Michigan University and received additional training at Eastern Michigan University.
As a professional artist he’s managed to find a comfortable venue for his artistic skills in contemporary realism, hyperrealism [photo-realism], and the abstract in realism. Today he is recognized for his signature colored pencil, graphite, and pigment ink renderings of waterscapes + landscapes from across North America and beyond. All of his art is unique in style, meticulously rendered in detail, and visually appealing in form, content, and composition. He is an award-winning national artist with representation throughout parts of the United States.
He is a two-time Best in Drawing recipient (2014 and 2017) at International Guild of Realism Exhibitions, Grand Prize Winner at 2012 Southwest National Contemporary Realism Competition, and one of 27 national artists singled out for the 2018 Masters of Drawing Exhibition. His artwork and articles have been featured in numerous art publications, on television, and on other media.
Erwin will be a host workshop artist at the 27th Annual Colored Pencil Society of America International Exhibition and Convention this coming summer in Los Angeles, California.
