Crooked Tree Arts Center’s Annual Fundraiser - A Record-Breaking Success

The Crooked Tree Arts Center (CTAC) is pleased to announce the tremendous success of its recent annual fundraiser, Dart for Art, which gathered record-breaking numbers in support of the organization's arts programming. The event, hosted on July 12 and 13 in Bay Harbor, brought together art enthusiasts, patrons, and supporters, all joined in their commitment to fostering creativity and supporting the arts. The two-day event included nearly 1,000 attendees, over 200 donated works of art, almost 65 individual and corporate sponsors, and donations from over 150 local businesses.

Attendees were treated to two evenings filled with vibrant artwork, numerous auction and raffle opportunities, and upbeat and live DJ music. Preview night allowed guests to view exciting silent auction items and bid on limited art pieces while dining on an assortment of delicious hors d’oeuvres from ten local restaurants.

The main event not only included a large variety of silent and live auction items but also “darting,” where guests raced to capture their own piece of original artwork from the gallery of paintings, sculptures, textiles, and jewelry. Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres from five restaurants and a full menu from our restaurant partner, NOMAD. The ambiance was energetic as participants immersed themselves in a celebration of art and creativity, all while contributing to a valuable cause.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of sponsors, donors, artists, and attendees, the Crooked Tree Arts Center raised nearly $600K in support of the CTAC’s year-round programming. The organization’s programming includes nurturing young talent, offering unique learning experiences, and ensuring that the arts remain accessible to all. The generous contributions received during this fundraiser will play a vital role in sustaining CTAC’s mission and furthering its programming for the enrichment and benefit of the entire community.

"We are immensely thankful for the overwhelming support," said Megan DeWindt, President of the Crooked Tree Arts Center. "The success of our annual fundraiser will empower us to continue our mission of inspiring and enriching lives through the arts. The record-breaking numbers are a testament to the dedication and passion that the region holds for the arts."

“I’m grateful to this year’s co-chairs, Kathleen Davis and Karen Quenneville, the entire event committee, volunteers, and CTAC staff who dedicated their time and talent to making this year’s event a huge success,” stated DeWindt.
