Crooked Tree Arts Center welcomes Angela Morris as the new President of the organization

Angela Morris joined Crooked Tree Arts Center (CTAC) as the Regional Development Manager in June 2023. Since then, she has been instrumental in achieving several significant milestones, including the successful closure of the 50th Anniversary Campaign, surpassing the Year-End Campaign goal, and implementing new processes to enhance the organization's memberships and annual giving programs. Angela's successful financial management and development expertise were key factors in her selection for this role. The organization aims to build upon the positive momentum that CTAC has experienced in recent years.

Before joining CTAC, Angela served as the Development Manager at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts (GLCFA) for five years. While there, she cultivated meaningful relationships with donors and orchestrated numerous successful fundraising events and campaigns, contributing to GLCFA's operational and fundraising objectives. Beyond her work at GLCFA, Angela accumulated over a decade of experience in diverse marketing and communications roles.

Angela holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Public Relations from Grand Valley State University. She also holds a Master of Business Administration and an Advanced Studies in Project Management Certificate from Ferris State University. In May, she will be graduating with Leadership Little Traverse’s Class of 2024.

"I feel incredibly fortunate and honored to be selected as CTAC's next president. I am eager to collaborate with our outstanding team and Board of Directors and to continue the important work we are doing to make a positive impact on the community!" says Angela Morris, new CTAC President.

Crooked Tree Arts Center’s Board of Directors began a search to fill the role following Megan DeWindt’s resignation in late February. Megan has provided exceptional leadership to the organization over the past four years, establishing a strong financial foundation and fostering deeper connections within the community. She will be transitioning to her new role as Executive Director at Bay View Association.

“Angela has proven to be an incredible asset to the organization thanks to her strong leadership, interpersonal, and development skills. I am confident that she will help Crooked Tree Arts Center continue on its positive trajectory, creating more ways for our community to connect, learn, and grow through the arts,” says exiting CTAC President, Megan DeWindt.
