Panel Discussion: "Artist Residencies Demystified: What Are They and How Do They Benefit Artists and Communities?"

Join us for a panel discussion on Saturday, September 16th, in collaboration with the Opening Reception for Art + Place + Community: 10 Years with Good Hart Artist Residency. The panel discussion, titled "Artist Residencies Demystified: What Are They and How Do They Benefit Artists and Communities?" The panel will be moderated by Associate Editor of the Walloon Writers Review and poet, Glen Young. The panel will examine the work of artist residencies and why they are vital to both artists and communities. Panelists include:

• Benjamin Cheney – Founder and Artistic Director of The Croft Residency
• Kelly Wilson – Teacher at Lakeview Academy
• Phil Porter – Founder of the Mackinac State Historic Parks Artist in Residence Program
• Kirsten Furlong – Director of the Blue Galleries and a lecturer in the Department of Art, Design, and Visual Studies at Boise State University, Boise, Idaho and alum of the Good Hart Artist Residency program.
• Sue Klco – Co-founder of the Good Hart Artist Residency
