Although we are experiencing inclement weather, we will still be hosting the Opening Reception as scheduled.
On January 13th, two new art exhibitions will open at Crooked Tree Arts Center - Petoskey. Please join us for complimentary appetizers and a cash bar as we celebrate the work of 50 artists on display in both our Gilbert and Bonfield Galleries.
Fields of Vision: Juried Fine Art Exhibition (Gilbert Gallery)
In the Gilbert Gallery, we are recognizing the annual Crooked Tree Arts Center juried fine art exhibition. This juried exhibition is open to artists working throughout the state of Michigan. This year's show, Fields of Vision, was juried by guest juror Nicole Webb, Collections Manager at Grand Valley State University. 44 artists were selected for the exhibition. In addition to selecting the works included in the show, Webb will choose cash-prize award winning works. Awards will be announced at 6 pm.
Cultivated: Relationships with Nature (Bonfield Gallery)
This mixed-media exhibition explores concepts of growth and cultivation as they relate to the natural world. Through contemporary photographs, mixed media fiber works, and performative site-specific installations, the exhibition asks us to consider what we choose to grow and why. This exhibition features work by Ayaka Prenton, Jennifer Seo, Megan Heeres, Melissa Webb, Rob Harold, and Sue Moran.
