Mitten Smitten is a six-concert series featuring Michigan’s vibrant music scene. This is a collaboration between Crooked Tree Arts Center and Blissfest Music Organization.
Earth Radio is a future soul group based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The band formed in 2017 when bass player Justin Avdek brought these unique West Michigan musicians together for a spontaneous recording collaboration, which turned into a progressive project that takes neo-soul to a new level. You’ll hear elements of funk, rock, soul, and progressive jazz melded together, reminiscent of Hiatus Kaiyote and Erykah Badu, into a sound that is uniquely Earth Radio.
Opening Act | Charlie Millard
From Michigan’s northern lower peninsula, Charlie Millard has developed a unique sound, voice and thought-provoking lyrics/poetry of his own, with tones of an indie-Americana style that is reminiscent of a 60s/70s ’ folk-rock, singer/songwriter. He has performed at festivals and venues across the Midwest and Canada with his band, and continues to give a musical experience, like small movies for the ears
