Opening Celebration: Saturday, September 25, 10 AM - 5 PM
In partnership with the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, CTAC-Petoskey presents Kindred: Traditional Arts of the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. Historic and contemporary examples of Odawa arts and crafts will be on display, including quill boxes, beadwork, regalia, basketry, and ceramics. Through these finely crafted objects, thematic threads are woven together to explore the economic drivers, environmental factors, and challenges inherent in sustaining tradition, creative practice, and identity. This exhibition was curated by Eric Hemenway and Liz Erlewine.
Join us each Thursday at 10 am for a free educational program connected with the exhibition. Recorded Kindred Coffee@Ten conversations listed below.
