Join local artist Royce Deans for a fascinating discourse on history’s most influential and famous artists and art eras, from early classical to mid-century modern: What made them evolve and stand out above the rest? What makes a Monet a “Monet”? What makes a masterpiece a masterpiece? What is so important about a particular artist or era? Which other generations of artists influenced Matisse, Van Gogh, and Pollack? Topics will revolve around different eras of art history. Discussions will be about artists and their work.

Open to both artists and non-artists, anyone that appreciates art or is interested in learning curious facts about artists and their work will enjoy this series that dissects different works of art so we can see what makes them stand the test of time. Each evening session covers a different era or selection of artists.
