Learn how to create moving and evocative watercolor paintings with free and generous brush strokes with Paint Grand Traverse artist Steve Griggs. During this workshop, beginner and intermediate level painters are invited to try out a variety of watercolor painting strategies and techniques to create loose, intuitive, free, and spontaneous effects. You will learn about color mixing, glazes, composition, drying time, thickness, and edges while painting short, warm-up sketches as well as finished landscape or cityscape paintings. There is sure to be a lot of laughter and camaraderie as participants move out of their comfort zones and encourage one another's efforts.

Steve Griggs is a Paint Grand Traverse featured artist!
