Thinking “Out of the Box” + Design Application

with Jenni Renas, BFA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art & Design

In this art clinic, Jenni Renas will introduce brainstorming concepts that she uses professionally in her graphic design world.  You will get tools to think "outside the box" that will be applicable to more than just your art making process. Not only beneficial to those in the creative field, these techniques are used to develop better idea generation and problem solving ability. We will cover how to expand and develop new ideas and exercise creative muscles through various lateral thinking exercises and design practices.

    We will answer the questions:

    1. What is design/lateral thinking?

    2. How is it used in everyday life?

    3. How is it used in the visual design process?

Throughout the course we will practice skills in a collaborative challenges, learning how to find alternative and innovative paths to visual design solutions.

Jenni will bring her portfolio with examples of branding, illustration, motion, and print work.
