    Complete supply kit included!

Have you always wanted to craft your own garments, but been totally intimidated by the actual thought of knitting? Did you learn how to knit a long time ago but you've gotten a bit rusty? This class is just for you!

We will learn all of the steps to get you started on your knitting journey! In this class, we’ll learn how to cast on, knit, purl, knit in the round, knit flat, and bind off stitches. Students will knit a warm squishy cowl to showcase all of the techniques that they learn in the class. The class will also explore different types of fiber, needles, and stitch patterns.

The registration fee includes a robust starter kit with all the materials you need, including knitting needles, two types of practice yarn, and luxury project yarn. Your final cowl project will be done with luxury fiber yarn hand-dyed by the instructor.

All materials are provided, but participants are encouraged to bring a bag to carry their knitting supplies.

Cancellation Policy for Petoskey Classes (In-Person)

Requests for cancellation by the student at least seven (7) days prior to the first day of class will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee).  NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than seven (7) days in advance of the first day of the class.

    Class Cancellations (Weather)
When Public Schools of Petoskey are closed due to inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey classes are canceled. We will do our best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. Refunds will not be given if the student is unable to attend the rescheduled session of class. Workshops and one-time classes will be handled on a per-class basis. School of Ballet students are asked to make up the missed class in an alternate session approved by their instructor.

    Student Absence
We are unable to offer refunds or make-up sessions for classes missed due to student absence.

Crooked Tree Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet its minimum student enrollment prior to the first class session. If a class is cancelled by CTAC for lack of enrollment, CTAC will offer a full refund to the student in the manner in which tuition was paid. (Cash payments will be refunded by check.)
