This event is free and open to anyone who identifies as a caregiver, paid or unpaid.

Kathleen Buday is a board-certified art therapist and educator who has witnessed the power of the creative process to engage and enlighten individuals of all ages. She is passionate about the efficacy of art therapy to promote personal and collective healing.
In her presentation, Kathleen will highlight diverse stories of mending by drawing on her 25 years of professional work. She will showcase how images can foster connection and understanding by revealing shared human experiences in a non-intimidating way. Attendees can choose:
Anatomy of Self-Care with Kathleen Buday | Being a caregiver can mean many things. It may include providing emotional, physical, and daily support—while trying to maintain one’s own well-being. This workshop will explore self-care and help participants to generate self-nurturing activities via collage. All are welcome—from no art experience to the seasoned artist.
Mandalas as Meditation with Elizabeth Fergus-Jean | This studio session invites participants to explore creativity as a meditative practice. Centering on the mandala—a timeless symbol of wholeness and integration—we’ll begin with a brief introduction to its presence across cultures, highlighting shared motifs and symbolic meanings. Participants will then be guided through simple mindfulness and meditation practices designed to support a more intentional and centered creative process. Each person will have the chance to create their own personal mandala, using the meditative techniques to deepen their engagement and connection with the art-making process.
