    Crooked Tree Arts Center (CTAC-TC) in Traverse City, Michigan is now accepting submissions of original works of art for the exhibition Lost and Found: Juried Photography Exhibition. Great Lakes artists are invited to apply. 

    CTAC-TC is seeking photographic works that reflect the theme “Lost and Found.” Selected artworks may relate to this theme broadly and in many ways. Possible approaches include artworks documenting found objects or places, recovering lost narratives, or new revelations and discoveries. Alternative, creative, and experimental approaches to the theme are welcome.

    Three cash prizes will be awarded: First Place award of $500, Second Place award of $300, and Third Place award of $200.

    Applicant Calendar:

    • The exhibition will be on display in CTAC-TC’s Carnegie Galleries from September 15 - October 28, 2023
    • Online submissions are open from July 7 - August 4, 2023
      Notification will be sent by Friday, August 11, 2023
    • The artist is responsible for transporting work to and from Crooked Tree Arts Center - Traverse City, either through shipping or in-person drop-off and pick-up.
    • Work must be delivered to Crooked Tree Arts Center - Traverse City between September 4 - 9, 2023, during posted gallery hours.
    • Unsold artwork must be picked up during gallery hours on October 31 - November 4, 2023, or by appointment.
    • If shipping artwork, the artwork must arrive with a return shipping label. Arrangements for return shipping will be sent by November 4, 2023. 
    Eligibility

    ​Eligibility
    This opportunity is open to United States residents 18 years and older who reside in the Great Lakes region. Photographic works, photography-related works, and mixed media works are eligible but we can not accommodate video works for this exhibition. Work must be original and must have been completed in the past five years. Submissions must meet CaFE image format requirements.
