I grew up in Albion, Michigan, graduated from Michigan State University and completed my Masters Degree at Northern Illinois University. As Teacher, Audiologist and Speech Pathologist working with both children and adults, my career was devoted to the enhancement of communication skills. Since I have been retired I look to the Visual Arts as a personal communication tool. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in the world of Art.
I live in the gorgeous "Up North" on the chain of lakes near Ellsworth, Michigan. Now I find time to more fully appreciate the Art culture in this area, create art and get to know other artists. I have had opportunities to enroll in various workshops taught by talented and creative artists including courses offered here at Crooked Tree. Whether I am at home or traveling, being able to sketch and paint in watercolors or oils is always gratifying and challenging. Most of my painting starts with a reaction to something in nature, an emotion or thought. I hope viewers who enjoy my work are also reminded of some memories of their own.
