Tell us about the creative process for the featured piece in our exhibition: This model was unaware that I photographed him as he struggled on a hot day doing an arduous job. Notice the grime under his fingernails. When doing portraits, I like to work with real people just living their day to day life.
Who or what inspires your creativity? I admit to being a Wyeth stalker. I have enjoyed visiting the areas where they lived and worked and observing also what they saw.

Where can visitors learn more about your work? You can visit my website www.catherinemcclung.com or follow me on Facebook.
Artist Bio: I have worked in watercolor for over 40 years and have been primarily known for my paintings of nature and in particular, birds. I have designed dinnerware for 25 years for the fine china company Lenox. I was asked by our Governor to create an ornament for White House Christmas tree and represent Michigan. Later I was featured on an HGTV program called White House Artisans.
