Sherry has been occupied with the natural world from the time she was young growing up on a ravine overlooking a river watching the wildlife and waterfowl on a daily basis. She has a fondness for painting water scenes, but also artistically explores barns, fields, clouds, trees, and people. Sherry keenly observes how light affects all things, how it illuminates the sunny side of a barn, how it brightens thinning clouds, how it is broken into shadow patterns by tree branches on grass. Â Nature is always, always intriguing.
Sherry is a member of Oil Painters of America, American Women Artists, Plein Air Painters of Northwest Michigan, Magic Thursday Artists, and Studio One 6.
Her work is sold through Bella Galleria and on her website.
