Maria Nicholson is a retired teacher who graduated from CMU with a double major in biology and English, and a Masters in Teaching Biology. She has been interested in cooking all her life and has done workshops and personal chef work, as well as many benefit dinners in the past. She tries to incorporate nutrition and general information about the meals students prepare. She has been teaching “Kids in the Kitchen” classes at CTAC for the past several years and has done a few adult workshops in cooking as well. Maria believes that good nutrition and good health go hand in hand. Her hobbies include spinning, aerobic exercise, knitting and crochet, in addition to cooking.
