This month's presenter: Pisces Moon Collective

Meet Pisces Moon Collective's Mariana Villani in the CTAC Kitchen to learn the basics of finding, growing, and making your own natural medicine.  Mariana will discuss and demonstrate how to harvest, store, and prepare medicinal plants and mushrooms into teas, balms, tinctures, pills, and more.  She will focus on native plants and mushrooms of North Michigan and some other herbs that are easy to find and grow in this region.

Mariana Villani is co-founder of Pisces Moon Collective and has been studying plants and mushrooms for five years. She is a forager, permaculturist, biodynamic and organic farmer, focused on indigenous wisdom and restoration of land. She grew up rescuing animals on the streets of Brazil and tending to them at her family`s farm. In 2013, she graduated in Law at University of Sao Paulo, specialized in Environmental Law & Human Rights, since then her life has been focused on soil, plants and fungi. She moved to California in 2015, where she worked and studied with great minds and spirits. With Native American roots, she is a water protector and is passionate about teaching others how to protect and heal the land and its people.
