Description

Registration opens January 15

This 3-hour workshop is primarily a watercolor class, but will use pastel to accent the final painting. Painting step-by-step, we will explore the basic watercolor techniques of masking, various washes, and dry brush while painting the background. We will then apply pastel to refine the birch trees and create impressionistic color juxtapositions.  This is a very easy class for beginners. Experienced watercolorists as well as pastelists can explore a whole new dimension by combining the two mediums. All supplies included.

Level: Introductory through Advanced
