We are crazy about our pets!  Join us for TCAPS Spring Break, March 26-29 for four days of fun pet/animal inspired projects including painting a bunny portrait from a live bunny!  Please read the descriptions for each day's activities.  We'd love to have you all four days, but if you can only make one or two, that is okay.  Please call Kristi at 941-9488 to register for individual classes.  The member cost is $30/day or $100/four days ($20 savings on member tuition!)  Non-member tuition is $50/day

Monday, March 26
Using pets and animals as our theme you will dive into the world of non traditional printmaking.  Jenna Parker will show you a variety of printmaking techniques, including gelli printing and Styrofoam printing.  Leave the mess to us and come in and explore printmaking with an animal twist!

Tuesday, March 27
Using found objects, you will create a dimensional fish that can be hung from the wall.   Using images of fish, Jenna Parker will help you start to see found objects will all new eyes as you take these items and manipulate into fish bones, fins and tails.  The possibilities are endless as you invent and create your own fish.

Wednesday, March 28
Today we will go miniature, creating a dog or cat using polymer clay with new CTAC instructor Shelly Sissen-Burden.  While the clay is baking in the oven, you will create a play scape for your pet using a box, fabric scraps and found objects.  It will be your pets dream home!

Thursday, March 29
Bunny Portraits!  Today you will have the unique opportunity to paint from a live bunny.  Eleonora Hayes will teach you how to capture the spirit of the bunny while thinking about proportions and how to create dimension.  The bunny will be safe in a play pen area (sorry, no touching or handling of the bunny) for you to observe and study.

Cancellation & Class Policies

Cancellation Policy for Classes and One-Day Workshops

Student Withdrawal
Requests for cancellation by the student at least seven (7) days prior to the first day of class will be honored (minus a $20 processing fee).  NO REFUNDS will be given for a student cancellation made less than seven (7) days in advance of the first day of the class.

When Public Schools of Petoskey are closed due to inclement weather, CTAC-Petoskey classes are cancelled. When Traverse City Area Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, CTAC-Traverse City classes are cancelled. We will do our best to provide a make-up opportunity for the missed class. Refunds will not be given if the student is unable to attend the rescheduled session of class. Workshops and one-time classes will be handled on a per-class basis. School of Ballet students are asked to make up the missed class in an alternate session approved by their instructor.

Minimum Enrollment
Crooked Tree Arts Center reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet its minimum student enrollment prior to the first class session. If a class is cancelled by CTAC for lack of enrollment, CTAC will offer a full refund to the student in the manner in which tuition was paid.  (Cash payments will be refunded by check.)
