Be one of the first to learn Kevin's unique approach to "musical painting" while interpreting a Master Impressionist.
Using this approach, colors are equated to musical notes to make "color notes." Students will paint in a layering process to make "color chords." This method will add a unique twist to Monet's use of warm and cool colors. Improvisation with color and bold, loose brushstrokes will be encouraged.
A canvas with a drawing of Monet's Footbridge will be provided, jump-starting the process especially for the beginner. Each artist will take home a finished painting ready to hang. Please bring your own colors, but enough paints will be provided for all to use. Acrylics are welcome, but instruction will be in oils.
Kevin enjoys sharing his insights about art in a class setting that will enrich even your general painting experience. There is a balance of discussion, personal attention, and of course, plenty of time to paint!
