Long exposure photography has become very popular in the last couple of years, getting a lot of attention in photography magazines and on photo sharing websites. With the ever-increasing number of options for 10-stop neutral density (ND) filters on the market, there has never been a better time to give long exposure photography a try. Long Exposure Photography is a technical, emotional and visionary challenge. Where and how do you find suitable subjects, and what approach do you use to photograph them? What techniques do you employ to turn everyday subjects into stunning pieces of photographic art?
We will have a number of ND filters for participants to use and try out.
If you are looking to purchase ND filters, we would recommend Breakthrough Photography (www.breakthrough.photography). They have a great product and service. The only filters not recommended are the Variable type filters. These might seem a good idea, but have a tendency to have an unnatural color cast in your images. Contact me if you have specific questions on purchasing filters before the workshop.
This workshop will be a combination of class and outdoor shooting.
Requires tripod and remote release for camera.
