“Around here, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” —Walt Disney
As a teacher of the visual arts, our number one priority is to inspire creativity and curiosity! There are many conditions in our lives and in teaching that can make this task more difficult than it sounds: new demands from our districts, new philosophies on art education that seem too “philosophical”, and days that can present challenges that derail lessons and distract both students and teachers. Teachers have to find new ways to create that “inspirational energy“ and “curiosity” without feeling helpless, overwhelmed, or uncomfortable.
So... “We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things (Disney),” and balancing the new with those personal strengths that have always made us great teachers. In this workshop, explore a “new path” of ideas to inspire that creativity and curiosity in both your students and yourself!
This workshop is free and open to all art educators. Pre-registration is required.
