Types of General Volunteer Opportunities

Front Desk Assistance
Do you love customer service? Our front desk welcomes guests, answers questions, assists in the galleries, and answers phones. Set your own schedule! Weekly volunteers are always needed.

Administrative Support
Do you like paperwork? Assist staff with various mailings and miscellaneous projects.

Performing Arts
Do you love a great show? Usher or help in the box office before our performing arts series events.

Visual Arts
Do you enjoy being behind the scenes? Help prepare the gallery for openings, paint-out events, and assist with exhibit installations.

Paint Grand Traverse and other plein air events
PGT is our annual plein air painting festival held in Traverse City. We have many volunteer jobs, including event ambassadors, photography, artwork hanging, event help, and more!

Events
Do you like to throw a good party? Help set up, greet, and sell tickets at one of our incredible events!

Education
Do you love being a host or hostess? Help set-up, host, prepare food or greet at an upcoming Coffee @ Ten or Summer Lecture Series.

Do you enjoy being a guide? Become a docent: learn about the current exhibits, give gallery tours and demonstrate hands-on projects for area schools and select adult groups.

CTAC Crew
Do you want to use your handyman skills? Paint galleries, un-crate artwork and assist with facilities.

Standing Committees
We encourage you to join one of our active committees! Most have a regular meeting time and meet in our kitchen. Interested in learning more? Give us a call–we’d love to hear from you. Committees include Education, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Finance, and Development.
