Special Needs Artistic Movement
This class provides the special needs community a chance to expand their artistry and movement creativity while giving the example that the arts are for everyone. This dance and movement class is designed for teens and adults. Attendees will participate in an hour-and-a-half class that includes basic to intermediate dance education. Games and fun combinations will be taught to keep the class active and exciting. You never know your full potential until you test it, so come and find yours.
Classes take place Mondays and Fridays 12:30-2:00 PM. The first two weeks of class will be used as a recap of movements we learned over the Fall session. New students are welcome and they are not required to have taken a previous session. Choreography for the performance will start February 26th. Rehearsals will be scheduled once the venue is set for the performance.
There are no classes March 22nd-29th for spring break. Only pre authorized visitors can come in to view the classes. Athletic clothing is strongly recommended instead of jeans.
